Each VPP option offers a different level of protection determined by cover for the various components covered by the VPP. You should consider which level is most appropriate for your circumstances.

The Motor Dealer from whom you purchased your vehicle and VPP is legally & ethically prohibited from advising you which VPP best suits you – so this will be your decision.

You are required to sign the customer contract to acknowledge that you fully understand and agree to the terms and conditions of your VPP. If any of its contents are not fully understood, then we encourage you to ask questions prior to agreeing to these terms so that we can clarify anything for you.

Any Vehicle regardless of age and distance travelled. For Vehicles 20 years and under that have travelled less than 250,000 kms at the date of purchase. For Vehicles 10 years and under that have travelled less than 160,000 kms at the date of purchase.

Your VPP will come into effect on the commencement date as specified in the customer contract. Once the contract has been fully paid and has been accepted by Vehicle Protection (VP) the Vehicle Protection Program (VPP) will continue for the period specified in the contract provided that all terms and conditions are complied with.

The available VPP periods are 12, 36 and 60 months. VP must receive the amount payable for the VPP. If VP does not receive payment, we have the right to cancel your VPP.

From the date your VPP starts, your vehicle is covered under the terms and conditions for the period specified in the customer contract under ‘Type of Plan’. Certain terms, conditions and exclusions apply and are outlined in the terms and conditions herein. Your Owner’s Manual lists varying servicing recommendations based on your individual driving habits and climate conditions. You are required to follow the maintenance schedule that applies to your conditions. Failure to follow the VPP that applies to your specific conditions may result in the denial of coverage.   • This VPP is provided to you by your preferred motor dealer as part of the contract of sale of the vehicle. The VPP is not a contract of insurance, nor is your motor dealer or VP acting as an insurer.

  • VP has been appointed by your preferred motor dealer as a contract and claims administrator to authorise repairs, settle claims and answer questions you have about your VPP. VP has full authority as agent of your motor dealer to settle claims and authorise repairs. Should you have any inquiries about your VPP, please call VP on (02) 9938 5767.

  • You agree not to hold your motor dealer financially responsible for any obligation to pay a VPP Claim in the following instances. If VP has finalized its review of your claim and either paid the claim or provided notice to you that the claim does not come within the VPP terms and will not be paid. You must always contact VP in the first instance to make a claim or query. If you are not satisfied with the decision made by VP about your claim, you can contact your motor dealer to have the decision reviewed. If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you can contact the Department or Office of Fair Trading in your State or Territory for assistance.

  • The commencement date of your VPP will be the date of delivery of the vehicle, or immediately upon the expiry of any manufacturer’s warranty.

  • The VPP shall cease upon the expiry date as indicated in the Customer Contract.

  • Your motor dealer reserves the right to terminate this VPP before its expiration if you breach the terms and conditions of this VPP. If your used car dealer has a right to terminate the VPP, VP may exercise this right on behalf of your motor dealer.

  • Your used car dealer will validate your VPP by completing the Customer Contract and VPP period that your motor dealer is prepared to offer you.

  • Your motor dealer will, in respect of the mechanical failure of the vehicle, pay the reasonable cost, up to the maximum monetary limits applicable, to repair the failed covered components commensurate with the vehicle’s age and kilometres travelled subject always to the terms
    and conditions set out within. Claims are settled by the claims administrator – VP.

  • The benefits offered by your VPP are in addition to any other right or remedy you may have under the Trade Practices Act and/or similar State and Territory legislation.

  • Your Vehicle comes with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to replacement or refund for a major failure of the components and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage under the Australian Consumer Law. You are also entitled to have the components of the Vehicle repaired or replaced if the Vehicle fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Benefits given by this Vehicle Protection Program don’t replace the rights and remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law. The Vehicle Protection Programs are an additional warranty and its terms differ from the warranties and guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law.

  • Repairs and/or replacement of the vehicles components and parts so specified in the VPP will only occur where the mechanical failure causes the damage. Your motor dealer and any agent (including VP) is not required to repair or authorise for repair of a component that is worn but still serviceable and fit for purpose.

  • Your motor dealer and any agent (including VP) has no liability or responsibility for loss, damage, expenses or other liability you may incur as a result of any delays relating to the repair of your vehicle which is caused due to delays in obtaining parts and/or materials required.
